It's Electronica, it's Jazz, it’s Trip Hop Lounge Music.
PRAGMATIST lives in the cross-genre wonderland of breaks, jazz, classical, plus those familiar trip-hop downbeats. This is the type of music you'll need to sit back and listen to... don't just play it in the background whilst doing something else. Trip-hop may have begun the chill-out lounge music scene, the 'cafe/muzak' establishment and the whole Cafe Del Mar record label, however the best of it is a showcase in electronic wizardry and nuance in soundscapes.
It's a weave of sounds competing for your attention, sometimes overwhelming the ears with wicked tangles. Give the sounds a chance to probe your concentration, sit back, turn up the volume and appreciate the layers of awesomeness, the spirals of groove, and the wickedness of syncopated-percussive sampling. Sometimes it can all sound a bit overwhelming... just explore the aural textures with your ears and sink in.
